Exiles in Costa Rica sustain Christmas convivio

Representatives of the “Nicaragua for Justice, Security and Growth” foundation, held on December 22 a partnership with more than 60 people in exile in Costa Rica, where the children also received a toy.

According to Rafael Estrada, president of the Foundation, for a month and a half they work with 20 people who received an economic subsidy to develop a self-sustainable project.

«Everything arises from the need that the Nicaraguan brothers who have been exiled in Costa Rica are going through, we are working with a group of at least 20 people who have received funding so that they can start their projects and be able to sustain themselves,» said Estrada.

The event was held at La Merced Church, in San José Costa Rica, on December 22, 2019, where they also addressed short-term issues about the socio-political crisis that Nicaraguans are going through.

“We talked with Nicaraguans about the situation of sadness and the hopes of returning to Nicaragua. In Costa Rica there are political exiles, they left Nicaragua because they were threatened, imprisoned and tortured, there are people who were shot, ”said Estrada.

Subsequently, members of the Foundation offered 150 food services to exiles in the La Merced park.
